Hard Drive Circuit Board

How would one go about identifying the exact PCB board of a hard drive to make a swap? I have a WD1200BB-53CAA0, and I cannot find one with the exact suffix (53CA00) anywhere. Does the PCB need the same firmware on it or what? How do I go about locating the right PCB?

It used to be that if you had a board that was at least from the same model that the swap would work. I've occasionally seen drives that had different plug in points, even though the model was the same. I think drives are more standardized these days however.
