HARD DRIVE carpoop i think

o heres anouther prob, im at a mates house and he has a packard bell office 550 (its his parents) when you go to boot it up you get that little rectangle cirsor thing flash and then the screen goes to a few coulor still static thing, i thought it was the vid card whick is onboard so i put a vid card in and when i turned it on the screen said no signal so i put it in the old onboard one and the screen was the same except a box come up saying that it had detected the vid card and was serching for drivers, that the last i saw and it went back to that screen. Also every 5min or so you here a bit of a clunk sound, its gotta be the hard drive right.

Try booting into safe mode and remove and reinstall vid drivers .. But I don't quite understand what was said either..
