I upgraded my machine (CPU, mem, MB, Video Card, and HD). I kept my old ATA 100 HD as a secondary drive on the IDE2 channel. Bought a new Maxtor 250Gb SATA2 drive which is mounted on the SATA 1 channel (recognized as IDE3 in Bios). Problem is that Win64 doesn t seem to be able to boot from SATA drives - had to install the boot files on the ATA 100 drive.
I d like to bench the difference between the two drives (access time - read/write speed in RL conditions,...). What would be a good tool to bench those drives ?
