Is this normal? Do I need a utility to do this? I have a 200 GB Western Digital Hard drive split into 50 GB partitions and when I move/copy a large quantity of files (2 GB+ and/or 100+ files moderately sized files), my computer crashes and the C drive (partition 1) becomes corrupt and I have to reinstall the OS. I've had to do this 4 times in the last week.
I thought it was because my hard drive cache was bad on the drive so I bought a new retail box 250 GB hard drive, but when I started copying the data from 200GB to the 250GB selecting over 10 GB in files to copy over, my C: partition became corrupt again. Do I have a virus or something? Does this happen to anyone else?
Some system stats are as follows (let me know if you need more info):
OS: Windows 2000 SP3
CPU: 1.3 Ghz Athlon
Format: NTFS
