hard drive based MP3 Players + running = problems?

I've got about ~37 gigs of music so i'm thinking about getting a 40 or 60 gig MP3 player and storing everything on it instead of constantly adding/deleting music from a smaller device and always thinking "god i fogot to add that one CD i wanted to listen".

I'm wondering if the larger hard drive based players will skip or be damaged if i take it running. Anyone have any experience with this?

Any recommendations on which model? I've heard good things about the Creative Zen line. Ideally i'd like recording capability and FM radio, but at 60 gigs, i'm sure i wont be heartbroken not being able to listen to the radio.

i've run with an ipod for 2+ hours without it skipping, but then again i did have it on an arm band

obviously i dont need that much just for running. I basically wanted something that i could take everywhere and would have a synced copy of my entire music archive. For the car, the office, etc. I listen to music almost all day at work but im getting a little tired of DI.FM. A 60 gig MP3 player would serve two purposes: music + backup.

The 60 gig versions...how do they work? I cant imagine they have a typical HDD mounted inside them. The R/W head is too delicate to withstand running/drops/etc.

shouldn't have skipping, i know that desktop HDs(seagate) are supposed to be able to withstand like 60 Gs while in use(it says so on the label)...that's like shooting it at a brick wall

the read write head hovers a 1/16 of an inch over platters of data on a cushion of air, and it can withstand 60Gs?
