I bought the cusl2, and a 45 gig 75 gxp. Now I'm installing them into a new tower, BUT I want to use the hard drive I have now to transfer over some of my files/mp3/proggies. The thing is the hard drive I have now is a really old maxtor. I don't even think its ata33. What I need to know is if it will work with the ibm at ata100 even thought its not ata100? Or will I have to disable ata100, then transfer over everything, then enable ata100 again? Or does it even matter and I'm worry about it for nothing?

The ATA100 channels on the CUSL2 are backwards compatible with older ATA66, ATA33 and PIO standards.

Operation of hard drives are independent of other drives. You will not need to adjust anything on the IBM drive. Just plug in the old Maxtor and it will be fine. Don't forget to set master/slave jumpers.

You are all worried about it for nothing.
