Hard Drive activity indicator app?

I love my Macbook, but the one thing i really wish it had was a hard drive activity indicator.

Is there a small app that can sit in the menu bar and show hard drive activity?

Its kinda confusing since they all kinda do the same thing, just in different parts of the screen 🙂

Widget, Menu Bar, or right on the Desktop

Nevertheless, excellent apps.

I love my iStat Menus. So much geeky information, right at my fingertips on the menubar. Right now I know that my machine is at 60c, with 22% aggregate load. I have 268MB/1GB RAM free, and 48.39GB/93GB HDD free. Lovely.

60C? Sounds very very hot for a mobile? My T7500 is sitting here at 29C idle, 55C on 100% for 2 hours.

Sounds like Mac needs to work on some better cooling pieces...

Fisher raises a good point, the thickest Mac laptop is 1.06" thick CLOSED, there is not a whole lot of room in there.

If you are talking about a 1.5-2" thick machine with 4 heatsinks, 3 fans and a radiator, then that is a whole other situation.
