Work around the case and you'll get it. At the worst, you can get a relatively low profile heatsink for old Pentium and strap it to HDD with those nylon ties.
The higher the operating temperature, the greater the odd of failure. I have quite a bit of important stuff on the hard drive and I don't want the drive to die on me. I'll probably buy a new drive in two or three years and auciton this off though, because the performance increase will be so significant. I just don't want it to FAIL on me.
