Hard Disk Question

Hi all,

I installed the lastest 4 in 1 drivers from VIA for my motherboard and the safe remove hardware icon appears on the taskbar for my two hard disks, I want to know if I have to stop the two hard drives before shutting down the computer or I should set the setting optimize for quick removal.

Thanks.

If they are internal, or connected to internal ports, you will not be able to optimize them for Quick Removal.

If they are SATA drives, their appearance there is normal because they are designed to be hot pluggable. However, you can't do that for Internals. So - just go on with life and ignore them being in the Remove list. You needn't do a thing. It is a quirk of Windows.
