Hard disk partitions disappeared

So I was happy assembling my new computer, and I booted from my old hard disk, which was split into 2 partitions

I copied some files from 1 partition, to another hard disk, to back up before i format.

Suddenly when I boot up from my windows cd to start the format I see the hard disk as one unpartitioned disk space !! And it never booted again!

Why did this happen to me ???


Now im using a software called GetItBack to recover data
 
How far are you going with the new install. Isnt there a section where it asks if you want to partition your HDD. Why i'm asking is that when you get there it then might reconize that HDD is partitioned maybe.
