Just bought a new Western Digital 1 TB Hard Disk.
when i hooked it up to my motherboard i was able to see it fine in the hardware list. however, when i checked the file size it was shown at 32 MB only out of the whole 1 TB....

my motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-8i945PL-G

i d/led a tool form WD site and it told me your MB can only see 137 GB out of any HDD.. this time im only seeing 32 Mb what could be wrong??

thanx

Last time I saw this it was defective drive. Exchanged for a new one (same make and model) and all was better. Check for capacity limit jumper on the drive and BIOS update for the mobo, first.
