I jus pulled out an old HDD from the closet. The brand is Conner (never heard of it, meself).
Anyways, its the primary master.
I am booting from a WD 80G HDD on the on-board HighPoint RAID controller - Windows 2000.

The funny thing is that the Conner gets recognized by the BIOS and also in the device manager in the control panel. However, it doesnt appear in my computer/explorer. Would any one have an idea why and how to fix it?

This hard disk was originally on a windows machine. So, I dont think its Linux.
Since, it was already active in another machine till about 2 years ago, I would think it is formatted.

The thing is, I would like to see what data it has on it.

Even if I had to finally format it, how would I accomplish it, since the drive doesnt appear in explorer?

Right-click My Computer, Manage, choose Disk Management. Find the drive and partition/format as needed.
