I'm plugging in my brother's hard drive (win98) to my computer.
When i loaded win2k, it tried to update something (driver database?) and then asked me to restart my computer. And then there's a warning telling me that i shouldn't unplug any hardware without using the "unplug or eject hardware" feature of windows...

since i didn't unplug anything, i thought it doesn't matter..

then win2k told me that it couldn't save some document or disk settings...

so i restarted my computer.

After win2k loads up, i found out that i can no longer access my brother's hard drive. I panicked, because win2k keeps asking me to format the hard drive....

Then i boot up my computer using windows98, and to my surprise i was able to get in and access the hard drive just fine....

So, my questions would be:
- How do i get back to accessing my brother's computer from win2k?
- Is format and reinstall the only option for now?
- Any idea why the disk is accessible from win98 but not from win2k? This is the first time it happened.

Thanks.
