so i have been watching some reviews of the valve knuckle controler, and the finger/grip capacitive sensing seems impressive, there is some sort of handshaking robot experience that uses the controller well. which got me thinking.

satellites use 2 flywheel gyros for attitude control without using propellant.

could 3 gyros (one on each of the XYZ axes) balanced to cancel each other out be used to impart some sensation of weight momentum resistance in a controller by varying the speeds of each wheel? a high angular velocity on 3 wheels to simulate mass/weight inertial resistance; different velocities on each wheel to induce a tilt resistance (in the same way quadrotors yaw) to simulate a long stick/sword/etc force moment?

while this sort of system would be a massive battery drain, the immersion level would skyrocket. it would also require a lot of predictive ability in order to counter the micro hand movements and sudden shifts.

or would the required size of the 3 flywheels and motors be too big to work in confined volume and center of mass of a controller
