Happy Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day to the vets on here, thank you for your service. I did a short 8 year stint in the National Guard out of high school mostly for the GI Bill college money. Sometimes I wish I would have stayed in for 20 or more, but mostly I was happy to be out.

I have always been a WW2 buff to some extent, especially the naval and submarine battles. It's amazing how many are still alive yet, although declining fast.

It has been a solemn Remembrance Day here in Canada.

Covid has reduced the services but the meaning is still there.

We had a fly-by from our military C130 Hercules transport all over here in London, Ontario.

Lest We Forget.

A shout out to all the vets here, and especially to my husband who gave more than 20 years to to the US Army and who provided me and our 2 children with so many wonderful experiences (including 7 years of European vacation.)

It wasn't always easy,
and it wasn't always fair,
but when freedom called
we answered.
We were there.
