A big Happy Thanksgiving to all this weekend.

I managed to get a 3 day weekend and I really needed a break from work.

I will be making a dinner for my GF and a friend. I managed to get an 8lbs fresh chicken so I will be roasting that bad-boy up on Monday along with homemade fries, garlic bread and some steamed mixed veggies.

Today will be my take it easy day.

:awe:

I'm curious... When do the Christmas commercials start in Canada? They start about two weeks before our Thanksgiving in late November here.

No turkey!!!???? blasphemy!

Nice, I cooked up a 17 lbs bird (very moist even those I over cooked it to 175F) for the family yesterday and it was a success. 9 adults and 10 kids (7 teens) completely polished off a turkey, mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes, honey yams, salad, steamed vegetables, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie & almond pound cake served with whipped cream.

Everything was made from scratch except for the whipped cream.

We're doing roast beef this year, on the BBQ. Its just me, my parents, and my two grandmas.

Got stuck at work today though. People make reservations on Sunday but are too lazy to drag their asses out of bed, then they all want to be picked up. Got home half an hour late. Boo.
