Hmmmm, I searched the message body in all forums for the word "millennium", but didn't turn up any other topics related to this. Surprising too! I don't know about you all, but I'm celebrating the beginning of the New Millennium! Whoopie! :p

You know Ornery ther are a lot of dolts that freely went along with the it's 2000 it has to be a new millennium and they are gonna try to harrass all of the intelligent people that really knew when the millennium was.

Beast1284 I don't see anywhere that Ornery said "Hey dolt get it right it's the new millennium too, just because you were too damn stupid and celebrated it last year with the rest of the idiots doesn't mean it's not!"

Ornerys was just a simple reminder that no matter how much propaganda was put out about the new millennium starting last new year it was false and that noone should forget to celebrate it this year!

Your post on the other hand had no point other than to crap on Ornery. And it definately makes you look like one of the dolts.

You can follow the links and become informed or you can choose not to and stay ignorant, the choice is yours.

About 2 months ago ABC even had the guts to apologize on their nightly news about blowing the millennium thing and said that yes this new year would be the start of it.

The dolt that really started all this crap was the idiot that labeled the Y2K fiasco the millennium bug, from there on every idiot and their mama thought that the year 2000 was the new millennium including every news network and corporation that thought they could squeeze a buck out of it. You would think after 2000 years we would at least be able to use a calender.
I can't wait till future historians look back at last year and roll laughing because we couldn't even get a date right. The year 2000 is the last year of the 2nd 1000 not the first year of the 3rd 1000, geez.

Hey the millenium thing is simple. The first year is the year 1, not the year zero. So, the first year of the second millenium is 1001, not 1000. Therefore, the year 2001 is the start of the third millenium, not 2000. Is that really so hard to understand? I personally don't care what people think about this, just wanted to explain it. I mean, I actually like it, two millenium parties instead of one. :)
