A very happy new year to everybody on the forums. Fireworks were okay in Sydney - they started slow but ended fantastically. The drunken new years crowd was in full force. Hope celebrations are good in your city as well.

how'd you celebrate the new year? shouldn't you all be too busy falling off the bottom of the earth?

there is something in australians that allows them to walk upright without falling off. might be vegemite. because, honestly, about the only time i could think of eating it is if it were a choice between doing so and falling off the earth. even then, it'd be close.

I tried googling for some pics, but all I got was: http://www.livenews.com.au/Art..._Sydneys_NYE_fireworks

The coolest fireworks we had were heart shaped ones. The radio guy said there were going to be 3D ones but I didn't spot any. Still, its going to be exciting to see what comes up in future years cause if they can do a heart impressively then they surely can do dragons (LoTR anyone?), "Happy New Years", and all other sorts of fireworks in future years.

This is 2004's fireworks: http://www.ozshots.com/20040101_Fireworks/ , to give you an indication of what we get.
