I just wanted to say Happy Holidays to all of the faithful P&Ners!

May the festive yule season brighten what was sure to have been an interesting year for all, and may the Wild Hunt bring great bounty to you and your family!

Now is the time when we gather to celebrate the end of bounty, and the beginning of the new! How will you be banishing the frost spirits?

This is my favorite festival of the year, I can say that. I shall toast to Odin, thank him for our bounty, and greet the birth of the new Sun.

How do you celebrate the yule season? Does your family have similar, or perhaps unique traditions?

Arthroscopic surgery on my right shoulder (torn rotator cuff, full thickmess tear) at 7:30AM CST.

I had shoulder surgery a few years ago, and I can tell you it is a BITCH to recover from. We don't see eye to eye politically or socially, but I wish you a good recovery. I had to 'sleep' in a chair for 4 days when I got home, not allowed to lay flat. And by 'sleep' I mean get to the point of pseudo-consciousness where you're not asleep, but not awake either.
And stock up on some anti-constipation meds.

Thanks. I already have the down low from my doctor, he let me know everything straight up. I'm lucky if I get 4 to 5 hours of sleep a night now and not in one chuck either. Luckily I still had a refill on Tramadol that I could use to ease the pain until I get operated on.
