i have been going back and forth to New Delhi, and Seattle since I was four.
sometimes I am torn between the two. can't decide where i wanna live.
but, Delhi is my home. one of my favourite times of the year in delhi was diwali
the festival of lights.

I am so homesick.

Do you make enough money to go back and forth on a regular basis? maybe once or twice a year for an extended period of time?

A good friend of mine at Intel is Indian. He misses India alot and I find that we talk about it often. He saves up to go visit for three weeks every six months. He loves it that way.

I am a student, so I can't really go back as often as your friend does.
but, we (my family mom and dad and 2 sisters) go back every two years.
last I was there was in 98. we usually go back for 2 to 3 months at a time.

my friend once said thats a long vacation man.
so, I said to him.

think of it as going home after a few years,
instead of going on vacation for a few months.

when I was younger we lit fireworks all night.
we had sweets and prayer every diwali.

tell your friend happy diwali.

Happy Diwalli!!!!

I'm not Indian but many of my friends are and I also live very close to the 'Indian' town in Vancouver BC. I'm always invited to Indian festivals and my Indian friends are always welcome to any Chinese celibrations that my family has. It's great having many friends from different cultures :)

Cheers,
