A happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians! And to our American friends!

A long weekend means I get to relax and do nothing for 2 days (I had to work yesterday).

I don't have much in the way of plans and it being so hot outside, I think I will just stay indoors with the AC on.

Any big plans for anyone else?

I'm gonna go to the dollar store and see if they still have cans of black olives. Otherwise, I'm hanging out inside and thinking about how much I hate summer.

Got my olives, some Pussers rum, and the new to me Yuengling pilsner. Looks like it's a good Canada day! The Yeungling isn't bad; a good summer beer. Crisp and light, but it still has a bit of flavor.

So hot outside, that kills me. This was before the internet, my wife and I were planning a vacation to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. When we called and asked about the weather so we’d know what clothes to pack, we were told that they were having a heat wave and pack light. When we arrived, the high temperatures were 68F (20C). Being from Texas, and most of our cloths were short sleeve shirts and shorts, we felt like we would freeze.

Happy Canada day, have fun avoiding your heat wave, and enjoy watching Netflix.

Yeah, happy Canada Day! We'll be simple. We are not in the heat-wave area of southern Ontario and Quebec, so today is forecasted for 18 C, clouds, and persistent showers. I have potato salad in the works (has to blend flavours for a while before eating), steaks and chicken breasts marinating and burgers patties and cheesy wieners all waiting for the barebque later this afternoon. Lots of coolers and wine for that. Never mind the rain - we're cooking anyway!

It's like an oven outside today. I made a trip to the Beer Store and bought a 12 of Steamwhistle Pilsner. A very nice beer.

That's about as exciting as our fireworks were. Weather tonight is not looking good so they decided to have them last night but then they got called off because one went in the crowd.

I don't have much plans today, mostly relaxing. It's not SUPER hot but still very hot. The south is getting hit much worse than we are. Though I just checked and apparently we have a tornado warning. Fun.
