"my rolly on dubz, we paid for it cash, sippin' cristal at the club, etc., etc.".
That's what most of it is today. But nothing was as cool as Jadakiss in the first verse of We Gonna make it.

Here's some more tupac to understand him better. Great song too: I see death around the corner:

"I see death around the corner, gotta stay high while I survive
In the city where the skinny n*ggas die
If they bury me, bury me as a G n*gga, no need to worry
I expect retaliation in a hurry
I see death around the- corner, anyday
Trying to keep it together, no one lives forever anyway
Strugglin and strivin, my destiny's to die
Keep my finger on the trigger, no mercy in my eyes
In a ball of confusion, I think about my daddy
Madder than a motherfvcker, they never shoulda had me
I guess I seen too many murders, the doctors can't help me
Got me stressin' with my pistol in my sheets, it ain't healthy
Am I paranoid? - Tell me the truth
I'm out the window with my AK, ready to shoot
Ran out of endo and my mind can't take the stress,
I'm out of breath
Make me wanna kill my damn self,
but I see death around the corner"

That's crazy.

He built himself up as a thug and then realized there was no other image he could project. He said as much. Nobody would have wanted to hear him or see him in any other way. His poetry book shows he had a deeper, more thoughtful side. He definitely had a lot of pain and anger built up.

He is far from being the greatest rapper of all time.
Maybe the most popular rap artist or the rap artist with the most impact or the rap artist with the most emotion...

But...

He has never made an album better than illmatic.
and, he has never had a verse better than Nas' verse in Verbal Intercourse.

The thing that pisses me off is when someone dies, everyone rides on their d1ck.
Ex. Aaliyah, Tupac, BIG, Jam Master Jay, etc.

I hate it when people say RIP TUPAC, RIP JMJ, RIP BIG, RIP AALIYAH and forget other people like Big L, Big Pun, etc.

Taking your teenage angst into adulthood doesn't make you deep so much as immature...

I am not disagreeing with your statement. He mad a lot of irresponsible statements and wasn't exactly a good role model and it got him killed. I am only saying he had another side to him. He seemed to know he was f^cked up and he was going to die violently.

most ppl here hate on guys like tupac because they are skinny little white geeks who feel alienated from the whole black culture as a whole so they act as if tupac wasnt cool... and act as if they wouldnt dump in their pants if they had ever seen him coming towards them.
behind the computer screen is a good place to talk crap on a thug like 2pac.

i wish more black guys would beat up white nerds. and rape their women, just for good measure.
i'd just like to put some of these people in teh same room as C-Murder for 5 minutes. if you saw him on the streets you'd be rolling up your window like that guy on officespace.
absolutely stomp anyone out here, and he'd kill you too.
no one here has the nads to kill a man. so quit pretending tupac would have ripped your face off and slapped a hard one inside your wife/GF.

then sold millions of records telling about it, as you work for peanuts in comparison.

Big Pun is another good rapper that died. I don't think anybody ever celebrates him though, which is kinda retarded. I really don't care about JMJ or Aaliyah much, except Aaliyah's death was messed up. And I don't know who Big L was.

I liked Me against the World better than Nas Illmatic album. Also my favorite rap song is Dear Mama, he was the only rapper that all my friends liked as well (other rappers like Biggie, Nas, etc not everyone liked).
