ShotgunSteve increments his nominal rotations around the sun number today! He's more active in the Distributed Computing than Off Topic, but I suspect most of you guys recognize his name. I have the dubious honor of getting him addicted to the AnandTech forums.

I have the extra good fortune to live just a mile or so from Steve, an improvement from when I made him drive 15 miles to see me at the university. Anyway, I wanted to take this opportunity to tell Steve in front of everyone here: Thanks for being such a good, loyal friend. I hope we never live more than 25 minutes away from each other. You've made a big impact on my life since I returned to Alaska 6 years ago, most of it good ;). You are a true friend to me and my family.

We're WAAAAAY too manly to say stuff like that to each other in person. :)
