It is the celebration of the birth of the United States of America.

Each member of the Anandtech team should celebrate because it took people from each ones country to make this country what it is today. Not only do we celebrate as Americans........ we celebrate our heritage.

We are free to celebrate our religion....we are free to celebrate our traditions.....we are free to voice our opinions. Most of all we are free to live with each other and be friends and neighbors.

Those that have struggled to become citizens know well what it means to be an American. As an American I welcome all those that come here for a better life. You are my brothers and sisters and my friends and neighbors.

To all my team mates........wish you all well and a good life.

Happy 4th Of July.

The most SOGGY friend you'll ever have.

We just got back from our annual explosives shopping trip... "What a country!!"

I got up at 08:00 this morning and unwrapped the pork spare ribs.
After a quick rinse and dry I applied my own mix of dry rub and then wrapped them all back up and put them in the cooler.
We have plenty of brats and hot & spicy sausages and I made up some really yummy BBQ sauce (for dipping).

In about an hour and a half I'll set up the grill for indirect heat and put on the ribs.
Then after a couple hours I'll cook up the rest of the meat and hope someone else is making up some side dishes.
We'll have some good NW micro brews throughout the day and then a couple hours after dinner we will set up the driveway for fireworks.
The kids will set off their smoke bombs and little tanks and then as it gets darker we will start setting off the fountains, roman candles and then finally the mortars.

We have been doing it this way for at least 10 years, hopefully we will keep doing it for a whole lot more! ;)
