Walking out of a great hot relaxing morning shower (still with plenty of time to get to work), giving my loving wife a morning hug and kiss, then peeking in the bedroom and having my 13-month old son bolt up from lying down and excitedly point in my direction yelling "da da...DA DA!"

-Things are going great at work.............the weather is supposed to be good this weekend.........life is GREAT!

sooooo.....what is hapiness to you?

Going to my 10 year high school reunion and finding out that the captain of the football team (my highschool nemisis) is now a fat salesman for a third rate hot dog company.

Damn you both. You both beat me to it. Michaeld<---slow on the draw today.

Happiness to me is coming home to an EMPTY house.
No nagging wife.
No screaming kids.
No sloppy roommate.
No roommate's stoner, thief friends snooping about/eating my food.

Just a house, that's in exactly the same shape as I left it; clean. Things put away. Computers ON. <---:)

I can do what I want, with whom I want, when I want and there's nobody whining "you're gonna watch TV AGAIN?" or "You played on the computer LAST night!"

Oh, happiness is also money. Money. Money. Money. (see sig)

As far as my whole life is concerned, I don't think I'm "happy" yet. I'd like to graduate from school and get a goob job in the next couple of years, probably get married, live in a nice house in a nice neighborhood, with enough money to do the things I want to do.

Up shifting from 3 to 4 in a Ferrari 360 Modena after the hairpin!

(I can't say for sure of course, but I bet that would put a smile on my face!)

Here's a better one (real experience):

Date: December 2000
Location: Astron Hotel in Fürth, Germany

I'm lying on the bed with a female friend, watching TV. I stroke her long, blond hair and give her soft, quiet kisses on her cheek and forehead. She falls asleep in my arms. About an hour later, she leaves. I take the opportunity to walk the streets around the hotel. It's a cold night, but I find warmth in a little, smoke-filled bar around the corner. I walk in, sit at the bar, and order a beer and a schnitzel with fries. As I eat, I gossip with two older gentlemen and the barkeeper while watching soccer on TV.

That was a perfect night!

... like peeing in your pants. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel its warmth.

Cheers ! :)

Meeting someone new. Those first few moments during your first kiss that sends a wave of excitement through your whole body, so powerful that your mind is washed completely of all your worries and replaced with absolute bliss.

:D

I prefer peeing in the pool.... it surrounds your body with warmth. (of course it is quite embarassing if they have that pee-dye.)

Happiness is whatever you make it. It's just a matter of individual perception.

According to her, if we had done anything "more" that night, it would have been too difficult for her to let me go the next day. (I was only able to visit her for 3 days.) We are still good friends, and if I move to Germany next year, our relationship might move to the next step.

BTW, we met through AIM, and I've flown over to visit her twice. I got PICS somewhere around here... :)

Happiness is what you can find when you have exhausted all possibility of ever finding it and suddenly realize nothing you didn't already have was ever required.

Misery is trying to avoid pain and unhappiness. Happiness or real being come through feeling. To feel it all is to be real. To be happy is a small side effect of being real.

You have to understand, being the assistant to the Marketing Coordinator for USA-South for Lufthansa German Airlines at 18, and the Marketing Research Coordinator for Delta e-Business by 19, I haven't paid for air travel in over three years! Nice perk, eh?

Can I be your friend? How about YOUR assistant? The assistant always needs an assistant you know. :D Nice perk, indeed. Howeva (there's always a "howeva")

[voice of experience talking] I've known plenty of women like this in my time. They like the free dinner, the free show, the free rides home, the free flowers...but those thighs are locked up tighter than Fort Knox. They love to say things like "oh, it's soo nice having such a great guy for a friend! I don't feel pressured about anything....translation: I'm glad I don't have to put out or pay for anything myself, sucka.

Don't let yourself be used, ok? Just some friendly advice. [/voice of experience]
