Okay, so I've been dating a jewish girl for the first time. Hanukah starts next week, yes? What do I get her. How does this work? I can't afford 8 gifts....unless they're stupid little trinkets which won't mean anything.

just get her one present. no one really does that "one present a night" business except maybe for the little kids.

Phew, that's a relief. It was gonna be real hard thinking of eight gifts anyway. I figured if that was custom then they probably started out really small and then the last day is the real gift day. Like, stocking stuffers for 7 days and then the real presents on the eighth...or atleast that's what I would have to do.

Only super rich stuck up Jews do eight presents. As a fellow Jew, I don't even think Chanukah is that important. I would just get her one nice small gift. Like if you guys saw a movie together and really liked it you could get her that. It's not like Christmas where people get a ton of gifts and some very expensive stuff too. At least, not where I come from.
