Many people were ridiculing him because he couldn't find anything. Well the Marines have been in there for 3 weeks and have found nothing either. As a matter of fact, the government is offering people monetary rewards if they give information of wmd. This means that they are also clueless. Where are all the locations Colon Powell named off? If it holds true and they don't find anything, I would assume that the UN weapons inspections, sanctions, and the no fly zone worked and Saddam Hussein was actually honest. I'm sure the administration will come up with a great lie "They transported the wmd into Syria, lets get them next".

BarneyFife, the Marines have been there 3 weeks busy fighting a war. They haven't much time to go look for WMD. Give them just 1 month from now and you'll see more WMD found in Iraq than you ever wanted.

Hans REFUSED to talk with the scientists when they and their families were safe. Either hes the stupidest person on earth or he didn't want to find the weapons. And we havent been looking for 3 weeks, we've been liberating iraq. We will find the weapons and prove that Hans owes us an apogly for wasting our time. Moreover, because of Bilx and his waste of time, Saddam was able to hide the WMDs better. We will find them and a he!! of a lot faster than Blix could ever do. So i say Fuc# Blix up his useless @ss.

Hans Blix deserves no appology whatsoever. He dragged his butt during the weapons inspections and only chose to be selective at what he looked at. Give the process more time. Three weeks is not enough. In six months, more details will be known and then we'll be able to ridicule Mr. Blix.

Besides, new stories are breaking quite frequently at the current moment: What? Chemical Weapons and people to show us where they are? Wow!!

The US government knows that they need to find WMD, otherwise they'll look like fools. So I have no doubt that WMD will appear. After all, our government is never wrong and always tells the truth.

Since I'm too lazy to type this all out again, I'll just cut and past from what I stated in the mobile bio lab thread:

It's a country the size of California.

Let me put it into perspective for you. Iraq has an area of approximately 171,599 square miles.
Let's assume that the Coalition has 500,000 troops in Iraq. (I think that's high, but, I'm not sure what the current total is so...whatever.)
That averages out to a little under 3 people per square mile.

1 Square mile equals 640 acres.

Suppose I put you and two of your most intelligent and resourceful friends in the middle of 640 acres and charge you with the task of finding a quarter that I have hidden somewhere in that 640 acres........while I take pot shots at you with an AK-47 and send rabbits with bombs up thier asses to try and blow you up.

How long do you think it would take you to find that quarter?

People hate Blix because he didn't rubber stamp "smoking gun" on any of his reports thus allowing the US to use as evidence. Blix did a good job and I'll continue to believe so until anyone can prove that he did something worthy of disdain.

I agree. It's hard to blame the guy when it was a fool's errand that was doomed from the start. If he and his team stayed for 20 years, they never would have found anything. He did the best he could.

Probabaly about a few hours, because I'll have US Intelligence telling me where it is. Remember, US Intelligence has substantial evidence that WMD exist, and they have a list of suspected sites. Unless they're trying to pass of more forged documents.

Blix Cover-up Angers U.S.
  • The failure of chief U.N. weapons inspector Hans Blix to inform the U.N. Security Council of the discovery of an Iraqi drone with a 24-foot wingspan, during his oral presentation yesterday, has outraged U.S. officials and cast serious doubt about his objectivity.

Those weren't banned weapons. He was allowed to have missiles that traveled up to 95 miles and who says he wasn't allowed to have weapons that took down tanks?

Blix: US was bent on war

War against Iraq was a foregone conclusion months before the first shot was fired, the chief weapons inspector Hans Blix has claimed.

In a scathing attack on Britain and the US, Mr Blix accused them of planning the war "well in advance" and of "fabricating" evidence against Iraq to justify their campaign.

funny you ask...here ya go:

http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/04/12/sprj.irq.saadi/index.html

Saddam's science adviser turns himself in
Coalition designated him 'seven of diamonds' on deck of wanted Iraqis

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Lt. Gen. Amir al-Saadi, Saddam Hussein's top science adviser and Iraq's point man for the last round of U.N. weapons inspections, surrendered to coalition troops Saturday in Baghdad, according to a senior military official at U.S. Central Command.

German television network ZDF helped arrange al-Saadi's surrender and filmed it at the general's request to assure his safety.

ZDF said al-Saadi left his Baghdad home with his German-born wife Helga and surrendered to an American officer, who escorted him away. Al-Saadi also granted the network an interview, and told its reporter that he had no information about other members of the dictatorial regime -- including Saddam Hussein -- and insisted, as he had during the inspections regimen, that Iraq has no weapons of mass destruction.

Sorry, I didn't know we were supposed to be able to achieve in 3 weeks what the UN had 12 years to do, but still failed. Not to mention we aren't exactling running around inspecting at will, you know there is kinda a war going on and what not..

The poster makes a valid point. Our troops have been there almost a month and what have they found? They are obviously just sitting around on their asses. I think someone should contact Henry Waxman and get an investigation started immediately.

Considering he wasnt allowed to buy weapons after the Gulf War, and the Russian made missiles that hit the Abrams tanks and took out the engine didnt enter production till 1994, I dont think he got them legally. I mean, I'm just taking a guess here, but...

Wow, all the WMDs stacked together are only the size of a quarter?

Technology is amazing.

What part of "No personal attacks in this forum" don't you understand? If some of you can't conduct yourselves in a mature manner then you can go post on the "Highlights" magazine message board with the other 5 year olds.
