Hannspree monitors???
Are they decent monitors?
Quality, etc?
Can anyone tell me about them?
Both my laptop and desktop pc’s died within a week. I finally replaced both of them and I am still using a 10 year old Gateway crt monitor on the desktop.
I would like to replace the ole Gateway monitor with a new LCD.
Over the years I have accumulated a nice amout of Best Buy cards
I noticed Best Buy sells Hannspree monitors. Are they decent?
Mostly I just pay bills, edit music and pitcures and surf the internet.
Thanks

Never used that brand name be for. So cant really comment on that kind of LCD. If you don't game at all on the system. You can pick all most anyone of them you want to use. I tend to go for companys that has really good warranty dept.

Just in case for some reason the monitor goes bad. I can get a fast reply to my needs and get taken care of really fast. Few years back I had the color in a CRT monitor going out. The company sent a replacement to me and I put the bad one in the box. Then shipped it back using a pre-paid shipping lable.

I had a 19" widescreen couple of years ago as a 2nd monitor. It was a decent monitor for work and watching videos. basic TN panel image quality. I owned for 3 years and it never once flaked on me. Still has no dead pixels and works like a charm. worth the cheap price.

My buddy has gone through 3 Hannspree 28" monitors in under a year... each replacement dies with a purple line through it or really bad pixelation. On the flip side, we both ALSO have the same size Hanns G, and mine has been flawless for over 2 years now. ZERO complaints... I thought they were the same company, but who knows...

My experience and my observations of others experience is that they suck. They are cheap but they don't last long. Dell, Samsung, Viewsonic, and LG are all better brands also for sale at Bestbuy.

I have a 27.5 Hannspree, and it just died on me after about a year.

My mom has a Hanns-G and it has backlight bleeding on the top and bottom of the screen, but its about 6 months old and no real problems yet other than the backlight bleed.

My gf has a Hannsspree 24" that is about 1 month old, no blacklight bleed and no issues yet.

The quality has been OK but I'm disappointed in the fact that mine just broke. I will be moving to a new brand next time around.

I've used Hanns-G monitors now and again for customers wanting a bottom-dollar display, and they've been fine. No idea on Hannspree, or even if they're remotely related.

Hanns-G and Hannspree are the same company. The only difference... Hanspree is the retail product and have a better warranty. Otherwise they are identical.
