I hear the viewing angle is not that great on this monitor and the contrast ratio is low compare to other 24 inch monitors that due 19 X 12

a TV on TN panel (170/160 angles)? no, thanks. I'd rather pay $200 more for a decent IPS/*VA that everyone in the room can actually see.

I'm not sure, if you're tired or what, but you're absolutely wrong. Portion of TN panels on TV market is extremely small. And at that, they are only cheapos with screens under 30". You really think people would buy LCD TVs with horrble viewing angles, low contrast ratio, and poor color reproduction? I'm sure you've been to an electronics store with endless isles of TVs. Don't you remember how well you can see the picture from almost 180 degree angle? Compare that to you regular LCD monitor (say, a 22" for <$300).
This is for your info:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LCD_monitor
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L...tal_display_television

And a few models (notice wide angles of view - 178, TN is never over 170. high native contrast ratio - 3000:1, TN is normally 1000:1 or lower. and 8-bit color reproduction, TN is 6-bit. 2ms response time is only TN, as well, TVs will have 5-16ms response time. Also, the Panasonic clearly states "IPS Alpha (WXGA)". I assure you, most TVs DO NOT use TN panels.)

You, sir, are a complete moron. I hope you're not older than 16. Because otherwise, your life was a waste so far. Consider suicide or at least sterilization. World suffered enough from stupidity, ignorance, and arrogance.

i am tired... of people who put useless posts in a deal... had you put your second post in instead of your first i may not be as nasty, but "I think a $500 tube would be better than this deal" is a dumbass troll post... just wander along if the deal isn't hip enough for you...

Incorrect use of quotation marks. And "tube," assuming you refer to CRT, has nothing to do with my post, this topic, or deal in general.
I only posted to make people alert. Those that didn't know about different panels, now do (well, I'm not sure about you). And those that did know about it but may have overlooked the specs were prevented from buying something they wouldn't want. Granted, there are people that would consider this TV - more power to them. I'm not dissing (although my first post was a bit harsh), just making sure people know what they're getting into.
