I have been in a dilemma in which 22" lcd monitor i should get, without spending more than 300$. Well after looking at the spec sheet of this hanns-g monitor it seems like this is the perfect monitor for me. Main downside i see in it is that the design is a bit ugly on the back side, but i think i can deal with that. I read on one site that the lamp life is 50000 hours, meaning that this monitor would last 11 years if i t were on for 12 hours a day!

Here is the spec sheet from the website.

newegg is selling it for 299$ . Hopefully if the price does stay at <300$ and i dont see anything better, i'll probably buy it this week..

I cant seem to find any reviews for it..

I have a 19" ws hanns-g that has worked well.

Unfortunately the stand kind of sucks, and it broke while I was trying to adjust it. After catching it it now has a 2" black blot and 1" wide unviewable vertical line down the right side.

If you buy it, be careful when adjusting the tilt!

All they need to do is take out the misleading "1080p supported" and it will all be alright!

What do you think about x2gen 22" as an alternative?

i saw that 16.2 before, i guess they just haven't updated their site on that...

about the x2gen, it only has one year warranty, slightly lower viewing angles, and who the hell is x2gen.. lol..

It does indeed support 1080p via YPrPb component video (analog input via DVI-I connector), that is how a native 1680x1050 panel can support HD ...

I'm looking at buying this panel myself. TigerDirect via amazon is selling for $296 shipped and $266 if you get the amazon fee-less visa (i'll cancel it later:)
