Hanns-g 19" Analog \Digital LCD Monitor 99$AR

I bought one of these in September, but I'm in the market again... any idea if I am eligible for the newer rebates (these rebates specify purchase dates which exclude September)?

Just for the heads up, I bought this same model last August and applied for the rebate online to my PayPal account on the 27th of August. I received the rebate at the beginning of October with no problems. Though from checking the link that was another rebate company. It's a great monitor and was a great deal.

I second Zodiak's rebate "heads up." I did the previous deal on this monitor with PC Connection (with a different rebate company) and have not yet received the rebate. Did the rebate thing in August and nothing as of mid-November. I complained to PC Connection. Got an email and a call from them, which I really appreciate, and they said I should not expect to get the rebate on that deal. PC Conncetion says that they have reimbursed my credit card for the $100 rebate as of a few days ago, but I have not checked my account to verify.

Bottom line: this is a different rebate company but the same seller and the same product. I'll let you guys decide if you want to proceed. BTW, it is a nice monitor, but I really hate the hassle.

I got mine thru PCC in August and had my rebate in hand by the beginning of October. BTW, the monitor looks great. @ $129, it was one of the best "hot deals" I've gotten in on.

I received "confirmation of issuance of check" from onrebate in an email of June 27. (This present deal is on RebateHQ, not onrebate.) That was about 10 days after I sent in the rebate material, and of course I did not expect to actually get a check before 2 months after the confirmation. Three months is about normal for the slow guys, and I have got rebates that took 5 months. That is without any denial or resubmission.

As of last month (October 20) I still had not received the $90 rebate, and checking at the onrebate site, my rebate was still all set. So I emailed them, as they specified in the confirmation email, and I have received no reply as of now, November 27.

BTW, the $20 rebate that was also on that PC Connection deal, but from a different rebate place, came in about 5 weeks. So that Hanns-G monitor's actual cost (shipped) is $230 as of today. The monitor is nice, but there are a lot of monitors that are about as nice for less than $230.

I do have copies of all the documents, but of course my rebate hasn't been denied, nor have I been asked to resubmit.

I received both rebates on the previous deal. Did the expedited Paypal thing for the $100 one, and the $20 one came in about 7-8 weeks.

No, it's to a different rebate house. The Onrebate.com is the one where they have the "no-wait rebate" for a fee. I did the 100.00 MIR from PC Connection in August and got my rebate in 12 days. This particular rebate is from Rebateshq.com, which is Parago. I am still waiting for my 100.00 MIR from the Office Depot/Parago Hann monitor deal I did in August. Bastards made me resubmit after I saw that it wasn't in their system after 8 weeks. Believe it or not, this is the third Parago rebate in a row I've had to resubmit because they said they never received it. What are the odds that the same rebate house didn't receive my last three rebates???

so whats the verdict? i want to hop in this deal as i'm in the market for a new lcd monitor badly. still debating sticking with an inezpensive flat or get a widescreen for some extra buck...anyone have any strong opinions either way?

when does this rebate go dead the 30th corre4ct? whats the difference between the two options besides the $20? the option 1 goes to manu while option 2 goes to PC? is that righT? anyone feel one is wiser over the other? i dont get into too many rebates.. thanks guys

this is the monitor I use....and its worth much more than $99:thumbsup:

I will prob grab another when I get my rebates ($120) for the first one. Its already approved, prob be a few weeks before I see it.

Best thing to do is to call PCConnection to see if you are eligible. If not, that same monitor was available at officedepot.com with a similar price/rebate.

I work for HannsG, so if any of you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Anyone know any other deals or items that would be good to add to this for $30 so that the free shipping comes into effect? Shipping for me is $18, so may as well add on $30 worth of merchandise for free shipping. Just didn't find anything obvious on my initial search...curious what other people added to get free shipping.

There's a long thread from when this deal at PC connection was new. Here's the link with some suggestions, but they only had to make up $10 when it cost more. link

Same thing happened to me with my Parago RebatesHQ Hanns-G rebate that I'm still waiting for. The RebatesHq CSR said the $100 rebate wasn't in their system and must have been lost in the mail though I've always received my RebatesHQ rebates (about 60 of them), this is a real hassle. I'm also still waiting for my OnRebates Hanns-g rebate and it's already a month overdue. I've never had as many rebate problems as I have with these Hanns-G rebates regardless of the rebate company taking care of it. You have to keep reminding them until they pay you what they owe you if you applied correctly.

Rebates seem to be getting harder for careful honest customers to claim lately and I've applied for and received hundreds of rebates over the years. It's either on purpose or a coincidence.

I had the same problem with my RebatesHQ rebate not showing up on time for this monitor, so I emailed PC Connection. Had a call and an email from them within a day or two and the lady said that I should not expect the rebate. Did not explain why. To compensate, she refunded $100.00 to my credit card. I have checked my credit card account, and sure enough, the $100 is there. So, I would contact PC Connection with my rebate details and I bet that they will make it right. They did with me. Still a PITA to have to complain to them, though.
