Hangs while installing WinXP on SCSI hd

I'm trying to install WinXP Pro on an HP Netserver E60 with a 10gb SCSI hard drive, but the system hangs after loading all the drivers. The screen displays the blue background with "Setup is starting Windows" at the bottom.

Little help? I've never used an scsi hdd before, so am I missing something?

random info: the scsi controller is integrated into the mobo.
