Ewwww....what a nasty thing it would be to realize that this absolutely beautiful work of modern art was actually this dead guy. I think that they should sue... :)

He hung himself in a building that was closed 5 years ago. They just reopened it, and he hung there for a day before people figured out what it was.

The building was closed, he hung himself a year ago in a deserted building. They just opened it up to begin repairing it, and a day after they started working, realized what it was.

No. When referring to a death by hanging, the proper past tense is "hanged". In all other cases it is indeed "hung", but not in this case.

That's just...weird. And to think, he made better art a year after he died than many of the students at the school, probably. ;)

actually "hanging people" is the exception that rule.

You hung a picture last week.

You hanged yourself last week. (something like that)

Freaky that it happened that way! I'm quite amazed that the body would hold together in that position for a year. You'd think the neck would have rotted to the point where the gravity on the rotten and bloated body would have taken it down.

As for the title, though, I thought this was an intentional art show, not a mistake. Heck, I've heard of "art" being things like a half dozen hanged, decomposing rabbit carcasses, or a dress made of steaks that slowly decomposed while it was on exhibit. And I know that the former of the two exhibits actually got a government grant.

"I hung the picture on the wall.
"He hanged himself."

When you're talking about hanging people it's "hanged".

Humm... so he was hung, untill they relized the error, then he became hanged!
