Handwriting recognition of Chinese characters

Right now, I input any Chinese character I do not recognize using the IME Pad, like this: Screen cap

The only thing I don't like about this way of input is that I have to draw the character using the mouse, which can be tedious for characters with 20+ strokes.

Does anybody know a nice, inexpensive device that hooks up to Windows and allows me to handwrite to input Chinese characters? Also, I have an old iPAQ lying around and never use it. Is there any software that would let me handwrite on the iPAQ screen to do the recognition?

Thanks.

Edit: By the way, I am Googling right now but would like to hear from those who have experience with such devices.

Find a cheap graphics tablet?

edit: This might work.

I'm not sure whether your handwriting recognition software will work with it (it probably will, but don't take my word for it 😛), but this is probably your best bet. I know $80 isn't exactly inexpensive, but it's probably going to be the cheapest you can find a graphics tablet.

Thank you. I will keep that one in mind, although I will have to do more research before I spend money on it. I think that I saw that product in one of the local retailers, but it could be a different product.

Just a note here, I was messing around with japanes input on a Tablet PC and was very, VERY impressed. Then again formal learning + correct stroke order probably helped a lot, and if you learned in China or from your parents it might be a whole different story. It also didn't recognize common shorthand like the crossed line for the ? radical.

EDIT : Ok, guess this board doesn't like unicode. I was referring to this radical.
