I'm right handed. I just did a side by side comparison of the fingers on my hands and in every case, the corresponding finger on my right hand is stouter than the one on my left hand. With the thumb it's close, only the last part, beyond the first knuckle looks bigger. But with the other fingers, the right ones look bigger in every segment of the finger. The differences are considerable.

I suppose this is natural.

Is left/right dominance written into your DNA?

I suppose the finger size discrepancy is due to more active use of my right hand. It's the one I use the most.

How much shorter? I just measured two fingers on each hand and my right hand seems to be either exactly the same or slightly longer (but that's probably measurement error) than my left, and I'm a righty. You should probably see a doctor. :p

Edit: Alright, I'm stupid. I read "stouter" as "shorter" and I only skimmed the rest without actually reading it. I give up.

I'm not talking about shorter, I'm talking about thicker... a lot thicker.

See a doctor? I've seen doctors in the past. I'm not panicking over this one, it's not concerning me. I have noticed this in the past but I've never held up each finger and compared to its counterpart before. It's interesting. Don't flip me the bird, y'all!
