Yup. Both political parties are in favor of it. The Republicans like it because it's good for the wealthy and upper middle class who profit from having less expensive labor at the expense ofthe middle and lower classes. The Democrats like it because they are altruists who believe that Americans should sacrifice their rational economic selfish interests to help poor Mexicans.

Both parties have committed treason against the American middle and lower classes and deserve to be driven out of office and possibly prosecuted and sued. What I have in mind for lawsuits are class action lawsuits filed by members of the lower and middle classes against various politicians and also against business executives who knowingly broke our laws.

I have an even better idea. If so many Mexicans want to be Americans, then perhaps we should just conquer Mexico and work on straightening out its economy and legal system. However, it might be necessary to seize ill-gotten assets from the Mexican wealthy and redistribute it.

Overall, it would probably be easier and more in our self-interest to just enforce our border.

I will say. Fix Department of Homeland Security first, hire more patrol in the border with high tech. If after they crossed the border ilegaly they want to be residents they should pay $10.oo0 or work until they pay o be deported. Fine employers with huge fines.

Put the national guard to work doing what they are supposed to be doing. Secure the border, mine it if necessary. We cannot allow illegal immigration. I'm all for trying to help people by letting them come to america and experience the american dream (if it exists after the results of the past couple years), but there must be limitations. Maybe we should stop our immigration policy from being so discrimitory to the wealthy and maybe we should let more latino's in, but the imigration MUST be controlled. We need to be able to track the numbers and make sure it's not so unresticted that it destroys our economy. We could do wonders to securing the border by putting the guard to the task, and we could eliminate a lot of incentive to the coyote's if we eliminated the failed war on drugs.

Huge fines work against America. Make the fines smaller, but also easier to prosecute. And keep most of the work at the state level, where the burden isn't on a stretched thin by the Iraq-war federal budget.

I think a major step that needs to happen is introducing a new SS card that would be much harder to fake/steal maybe make it a photo ID. The SS system should be able to give verification within seconds, it works with credit cards, why not SS cards? Having a fake or stolen SS card should be a felony. This would help both illegal alien problems and identity theft.

I agree with the walls, mines, etc. too, just everyone already covered all that.
