I'm thinking about picking up an Axom or some other such handheld but I'm a bit worried about how well it would fit into my life.

I would like to use the thing both with my computers at home and at work. I use the calander in Outlook extensively in both places and would like to sync the handheld to both of them, if possible. I'd like to be able to add things at work, sync up, take the handheld home, and sync it up there, too. How does that work? Would the handheld keep track of everything from the home and work computers? Would it copy appointmets between the two computers? If anyone has any idea how that would wok, I'd really love to know.

I'm confused. :( Help me!

I haven't used WinCE handhelds much, but with PalmOS, yes, the PDA will keep the two places in sync. If the data on the handheld is more recent than the desktop, it will update the desktop (no matter which one it is). If the data on the desktop is more recent than on the handheld, it will update the handheld. Hence the whole point of "syncing".

I agree with Matthias, got one here and it will syncronize with what ever on is nwer, but remeber to make sure its set on syncronze and not overwrite, as then you will run into some difficulties

I just got an Axim for Christmas and it can sync with 2 PCs easily. It will synch up your calendar on both machines. One thing to note is that it will take all your appointments from your work machine and put them in the calendar at home and vice versa. So if you put a new appointment in your home machine it will show up on your work machine. This works like this for Tasks, Calendar, and Notes.

One other thing to know is that while you can create a partnership with 2 PCs you can only synch with the one that you created the first partnership with. There are other ways of getting email such as IMAP or POP. For example I use ActiveSync to transfer my mail onto my Axim and then use IMAP at work to access my email on the server.
