In the last year I have lost 2 pairs of Klein high angle diagonal cutters. I?m now looking for a replacement and don?t want one that have take me written all over it.

Klein - high angle diagonal cutter is great for cutting and pulling out the occasional nail.

Klein ? diagonal cutter same as above but isn?t as good at pulling nails.

Channellock ? same as Klein high angle diagonal cutter but is slightly cheaper.

Stanley ? smoothest diagonal cutter with nicest rubberize grips that I have put my hands on, and have similar angle as the regular Klein diagonal cutter but at half the price of Klein Tools.

Husky ? 1/4 the price of Klein & Channellock with crappy rubberize grip and poor handle design that doesn?t offer maximum cutting power.

Should I stick with Klein Tools or pick one up from the competition maybe a cheaper one because it wouldn?t hurt too badly if I lose it?

Mot people call them wire cutters, but it hard to tell if they mean a lineman, or a diagonal cutter. And many people call them side cutter which can be refer to as lineman or diagonal cutter.

here in the boston area i've always thought of them as diagonal cutters but always referred to them as "dykes".

Actually the "Lowes" brand are pretty nice. I've had a set of 8" for about 2 years and they have held up pretty well. But then I'm only using them to cut copper wire.

sounds like the channelocks will fit your use the best, and not sting so much when they walk away.
