I was on travel for about two weeks recently, and we stayed at a hampton inn. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but I was getting a very good nights sleep.

I didn't think about it until I came home and started waking up groggy with lower back pain (That I had previously associated with weight lifting).

They run about $1000. Im really tempted to get one, but i'm not sure if it was just a fluke that it seemed like I was getting a really good nights sleep because I was really tired most nights when I went to bed...

Wow, Hampton Inn sells their beds?! I have always thought hotel mattresses were painfully firm. I'm sticking to my Tempurpedic.
 
Hampton Inn sells all kinds of bedroom products. I just stayed at a Hampton Inn on my business trip last week. I was there for a week, and my god, that bed was soo comfortable. I slept soo well.

I've slept in many different types of beds. Once, I upgraded my room so that it would have a sleep nhumber bed at this fancy hotel. It was literally the worst bed I've ever slept on.

Buying the Hampton Inn bed might not be a bad idea.

I love firm mattresses that have a plush covering on them. I get back pain from non-firm mattresses, but toss and turn on them if they are like a board. The firm/plush gives me support, yet is still comfortable.

Sleep Number beds do suck. My girlfriend has a Sleep Number with a 3" memory foam topper. It isn't bad with that, but I still prefer my legitimate Tempurpedic mattress. And just FYI, knock off Tempurpedic is nothing like the real thing.
 
i had been waking up in pain for months, threw a futon matress on top of my regular matress and its been heaven. (and cheap 🙂 )
 
yea i've slept in their beds, they are indeed pretty comfortable, but i am happier with my serta crazyfoam (emperpedic knockoff) bed. got it for like $850. I tried the real temperpedic bed first, but there was just something about it that didn't feel right, i always woke up with my neck hurting.. i really like the knockoff 100 times more.

The newer Hampton Inn/Hilton Garden Inn mattresses are pretty nice and I would consider buying one, again, assuming it's new. I hate the Marriott beds...been sleeping on one for a couple months now and I'm ready to switch hotels. They're like 4" of foam (I hate foam mattresses) and they have no edge support. If you're not in the dead middle of the bed it feels like you're going to fall the hell out.
 
I've never been to a Hampton Inn, but perhaps it wasn't the mattress? I've slept in beds that weren't that comfortable by themselves, but once you add a plush mattress pad, a nice down comforter with a soft cover, etc. it makes a huge difference.
 
Cool, never thought hotels would sell matresses like this. Neat idea, especially since we have all given them a "test-drive". Errr...😀 ... you know what I mean.
