Hamlet: The Movie

Just saw it... very interesting approach to the Story. The cast is pretty good, but they left out some important plot details. I love the "to be or not to be" speech given in Blockbuster. Anyone else seen it? Like it?

I had higher hopes. As you said, they left out some important parts in an effort to keep the movie short enough. They forgot that the average "fifty minute attention span" person wouldn't be going to see a modern interpretation of Hamlet anyway.

I thought it was interesting, but definitely not great.

Hamlet was a pretty mediocre play, though, so there's only so much that can be done with it.

Ive seen that one too. Brannagh does great Shakespeare. but I love the modern versions that have been done like R&J, Hamlet, and Titus

In high school we watched this version. I wasnt a big fan of Shakespeare at the time but this movie changed my mind a bit. Very good movie.
