Hamilton College cell reception

I'm looking for a cell phone plan for my sister who's heading off to Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. From what I've heard, Verizon is basically the only service that works around there, but I thought I'd check with ATers first. Any people from the area? Thanks a lot, guys.

Edit: Apparently the college is actually in Clinton. Utica is about 15 min away. Thanks for the catch.

Hamilton is in Clinton, NY like 45 min from Utica.

I know that doesn't answer your question but may have an effect on cell phone reception if you're asking people about the Utica area and not the Clinton area.

According to Expedia it's 15 or 20 min, but whatever. Clinton is a more specific location anyway. Thanks.
