I've got some ground beef in pre-formed patties and I was wondering if anyone had some awesome recipes for grilling it? Thanks for any tips in advance!

I usually just toss some onion powder onto my burgers before grilling. Sometimes add a little Worcestershire sauce as they are grilling.

I like mixing finely chopped fresh jalapenos in the patties, but looks like you bought pre-formed burger patties. Seriously--if it's his birthday, maybe you should splurge :p

Lowry's is way too overrated. It doesn't seem like a flavor that belongs on a burger or any type of meat for that matter. About all I think it's good for is frys.

What's actually decent is montreal steak seasoning. Don't overdo it though.

Or don't get pre-made patties. Get good ground beef then add a beaten egg and some worchestershire sauce and maybe finely minced garlic if you like.

Grill onion slices on the grill instead of using them fresh on the burger.

Melt a good piece of Tillamook cheese on it and maybe some mushrooms.

garlic powder, oregano, onion salt, and a small bit of barbeque sauce if you know you're making 'em for someone who likes to eat roasted beef

We use seasoning that I think we got form the Texas Roadhouse. We always get rave reviews when we have cook outs. It tastes great. Best to work it into the meat and not just put it on top though.

Maybe you should add what that Paula Dean lady does. She adds small cubes of butter with the meat and when its grilled, its like heaven.

Emeril's Essence:

2 1/2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried thyme

I usually cut the salt in half.

We've also been using the Montreal Steak Seasoning on our burgers lately.

Other than that, we really don't season burgers too much.. little salt and pepper or seasoning salt, perhaps.
