Microwaved?! That leaves hamburger right out. I'll nuke a cheap dog; usually with beans, but not for anything I care about. That's just for times I'm lazy.

Your right microwaved hot dog wins every time.

Let's say grilled over charcoal, no melted cheese on the burger.

No condiments also.

Grilled, no cheese/condiments? Hotdog. Cheese is what makes burgers special. A burger without cheese is like chocolate milk without chocolate.

I prefer cheese on mine personally but the poll specifically says hamburger. No cheese.

Just burger vs. dog

I prefer a hotdog with chili (no beans) and onion.

I did have a friend send his wife to get hamburger once but they were out. She came back with ground filet mignon instead which was very tasty.

Man cannot live by hamburgers or hotdogs alone. The proper American summer diet includes plenty of both. There are times you just absolutely need a nice juicy cheeseburger and other times when only a dog with the works or chili will do.

Burger.

I eat a couple hotdogs once a year or 2 but only cooked on a stick over an open fire

Why would I fix a plain burger patty with no condiments? I'm not poor, I have the cheddar for cheddar.

Hamburger BUT must be cooked over charcoal and wood or it's a middle finger from me. I'm spoiled like that. I never liked regular hot dogs but all beef ones are ok with lots of ketchup, mustard and onions or chilli sauce.

I typically prefer a hamburger but depends how hungry I am. If I'm not that hungry I might take a hot dog instead. If I want just a snack I might just take a bare wiener. The bread is what makes you full more than anything.

When it comes to burgers I love Burger King's charbroiled flavor and since they've upgraded their quality the flavor is really good. McDonald's has a rather bland menu to me but in a pinch it's better than going hungry. When I lived out west my late wife used to like Wienerschnitzel but I never really cared for hot dogs like that. The Sonic's foot long chili dog works for me when I get in the mood for a hot dog based meal.
