Hamachi purchased by logmein

I figured I'd post this here since I know that people have used both these programs in the past. On Remond Mag they posted a story saying Logmein was going to announce that they bought Hamachi, and lo and behold today they did.

What do you think about this? I've been using both logmein programs and hamachi for a while, so I think it's cool that they're becoming one.
 
I hope Hamachi stays free. I've had good experiences with the free version of Logmein, so hopefully.....
 
So how many days left before the free version of hamachi is gone ?

There are no plans for discontinuing free Hamachi service.

If you look at LMI's own services, you may note that their approach is
nearly identical to Hamachi's - core functionality is available for free,
and advanced features are optional and can be purchased separately.

I expect they'll keep a free service.

How good it is remains to be seen. Likely the "Premium" upgrade will offer FAR better service.
 
Yeah they announced on the Hamachi forums and in a podcast on eWeek that it'll still be free.
