Hamachi & Privoxy for security on public wifi

so I'm wondering if there's a better way to set something like this up now.

I'm also wondering if there's a way to send all traffic and not just the browser's through the proxy. Maybe even by running a VM in VirtualBox and bridging to the Hamachi interface if that's what it took.

I haven't used Privoxy in years!. When I used Privoxy it caused some problems as websites need certain data. That's why I like Adblock latitude in my browser Pale Moon. I can turn it off or on at will. For Firefox there is Adblock Edge or Adblock Plus. Just use a VPN. I use VPN.ac.
