I have been using the Cpu Halt instruction using WpCredit on my computer (Epox 8kha+ mobo, AMD 1900+, WinXP), which has worked wonderfully in lowering idle cpu temps, but seems to have one unusual drawback. With it enabled, my printer (Canon s750), using a USB link, seems to stop responding to the computer. When I'm printing something, it justs stop in the middle ("Document failed to print"), and the printer stops responding?
The instructions are 92-E9, or 92-E9 + 95-IE for Wpcredit/Wpcrset. I don't have any other problems with the "Halt" command, though I do have a SB Live, and the motherboard is Kt266a. The same problem occurs if I use any software cooling program too, like CpuIdle and Vcool.
Can anyone suggest a solution? Has anyone had a similar problem, maybe with USB? Any ideas or help appreciated.
