Halp, my geforce 2 runs faster than my geforce 3 :(

I just bought a Geforce 3 TI500 2 nights ago and I've had alot of problems with it . I am using the 2183 and tried the 2185(which came on the CD with the card) and the geforce 3 is unplayable in everquest and unreal tourneyment and normalish in blackand white. Diablo 2 is even slower with the geforce 3 than my geforce 2 was.

Just to make sure it was the video card causing these slow downs and I took out the g3 and uninstalled all the drivers and put my geforce 2 gladiac back in and everything ran great again with the 2183 drivers. So I'm wondering what the heck is going on..

ummmmm maybe u have a bad card? where did u buy it at take it back and get a new one if u can. but hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. some other people might know more about it

really tho if i where u i would take it back and get a radeon 8500 😛

I don't think you could have gotten the 21.85 drivers on the CD that came with your Ti 500. Those are leaked drivers I believe, and not approved by Nvidia. I heard the 21.85's are really bad.

So what I would do is uninstall your 21.85's and 21.83's and then reinstall the 21.83 only, forget about the 21.85.

I was just about to install the 21.85's until I went to Nvnews.net and saw that they were buggy. Since the 21.85's aren't on Nvidia's web site, that's probably the reason your Ti500 is performing worse than your GeF2, because Nvidia hasn't approved the 21.85's yet.

Just install the 21.83's and uninstall in the 21.85's and you'll be just fine. 🙂
