Halp! High temps with what I thought was a good heatsink!

I have a T-Bred B 1800+ that runs at 2.2 stable with 1.75 volts. However, temps get extremely high (Idle around 63 - 65). I have an alpha PAL6035 that I got from my old P3/933 system, which cooled like a dream on that system. Is it that there are pads on the athlon that don't allow good core contact with a heatsink designed for P3's? Or has anyone used this heatsink with AXP's before? Thanks for the help everyone!

You don't have that good cooler at all and beside 1.75V is a bit on a high side. So either get better cooler or drop the voltage.

The 6035 just doesn't have the size to cool newer CPUs.
Great for it's time, but now obsolete.
