Had to double check the official system requirements and it's indeed saying feature level 12 for minimum. A mistake, wouldn't work on first gen GCN and Kepler if it's feature level 12.

Kepler is running just fine, see the benchmarks.
I see a 280x in there as well.
 
Kepler is FL11_0, it doesn't have FL12_0 support (FL11_1 at min. is required)

Only GCN on AMD side and Maxwell v2 and later on nV side are FL 12_x compliant.

Good performance across the board, so it seems like a very well optimized game for PC's. The surprising thing to me is how AMD's 480 and 470 perform so much worse than Nvidia's counterparts even with DX12, when AMD has been winning handily in DX12 in pretty much all other games.
 
You are mixing Direct3D version with feature levels.

Direct3D 12 have a 4 feature levels

Ok just looked it up................Better? They are still all direct X 12.

Fermi, Kepler, Maxwell Gen 1: DirectX 12 / Feature Level 11_0
GCN 1.0: DirectX 12 / Feature Level 11_1
GCN 1.1, 1.2: DirectX 12 / Feature Level 12_0
Maxwell Gen 2: DirectX 12 / Feature Level 12_1
 
Fermi doesn't have WDDM2.0 model support, so it's not DX12 compatible.

Anyway, they stated feature level 12 as a system requirement for Halo Wars 2: Blitz, so how is possible the GameGPU site tested cards without FL 12_0 support?
 
Fermi does support WDDM 2.1 but Nvidia never finished implementing DX12 support. Some older drivers had DX12 working to the degree that they could use Dolphin in DX12 though.
