Summary:

Gearbox Software's Randy Pitchford has announced on the official messageboards that Halo PC is complete and the official announcement should be made in 1-4 days, while meantime the development team is enjoying playing the ""Assault" mode in Halo PC. We can't wait for you to be able to join us" (thanks: HomeLan). For this occasion we've got some exclusive screenshots taken from the same mode, while our recent preview will tell you more about the game. Halo PC will be released by Microsoft on September 30th.

Indeed but sh!tty Xbox controllers + limited means of Multiplayer inhibited this game from what could have been its true intended glory ( damn you microsoft ! )

Now u get kb+mouse and internet play and some new levels and gameplay modes.

Beta = sh!tty performence, missing textures, unenjoyable experience. I would imagine they fixed those problems for a retail release. Thus the reason developers dont want people to get the betas because people make these STUPID pre-emptive decisions based on things they were never supposed to see.

Hey, I'm finally playing Baldur's Gate 2 this year, a 2-year-old game is still fresh if you've never played it

And no way I'm paying $179 + $50/game for an xbox when I have a perfectly good PC. Especially since I'm upgrading soon to a P4 3.0 and 9800pro

I've already got 6 games I haven't even touched yet for my PC. No need for a console. I may pick up a gamecube when it drops to $99 though. I really liked Zelda on the original NES.

Well... that would assume that EVERYONE has an xbox

I only have a gamecube. I prefer shooters with a mouse and keyboard (with the one exception of metroid prime, but thats not really a shooter anyway)

So, here is one person who would rather play it on the PC.

I just cant get into shooters on a console.

I've already got 6 games I haven't even touched yet for my PC. No need for a console. I may pick up a gamecube when it drops to $99 though. I really liked Zelda on the original NES.

Zelda windwaker is sweet.

Personally I dont see the need for other consoles. You only need gamecube for real oldschool console gaming, and a PC for anything mature.

The other consoles are just too gen - x ghey for me.
